Ubisoft's New DRM Cracked In One Day.

Who'd a thunk it? Ubisoft is of course claiming the crack is a lie but I guess that's all they really can say. Saying otherwise would make shareholders quite upset that all the money sunk into the DRM will yield them nothing except the money lost on developing the insane DRM.

So what's the scoreboard?

Pirates: +1
Ubisoft: -1
Customers: -10?

From the Kotaku article (http://kotaku.com/5485502/ubisoft-sinks-drm-piracy-claims) in which Ubisoft denies this:

"Please know that this rumor is false and while a pirated version may seem to be complete at start up, any gamer who downloads and plays a cracked version will find that their version is not complete."

That almost sounds to me like they're not just requiring a validation to use existing files, but actually withholding something or other until the validation is done, like required stealth DLC or some shit. If that is indeed case, combined with the "kicks you out of the game if you lose connection for even a moment" thing, then this DRM is even more evil and retarded than I first thought.
