I bought one of those nintendo ds wifi usb connectors today, since I found one in a box with all it's contents secondhand. Got the registration tool installed and all that and then I attempt to connect to it. During the connection test the registration tool on the comp seems to register "one or more users connected" during the test, but then the connection breaks off and gives me the error of not being able to connect. Error code 53201. It likely deals with zone alarm in this case but checking my program control settings, the registration tool has proper access already.

So eh. Looks like I'm still back at square one.

Yeah, ZoneAlarm is a biyotch with the WiFi Connector. I've had moderate success by creating an expert rule for it that allows all traffic from Any source and Any destination on both the TCP and UDP protocols, but even then I find myself just closing ZoneAlarm when that doesn't seem to work either. Needless to say, I don't go online with my DS much.

So just close zone alarm should make it work you say? Rather insecure method although probably acceptable for a quick game now and then. Eh. Something to consider I guess.

Yeah, it's how I got Pokemon to work for trades, anyways. When ZoneAlarm was letting me through however, I could access Nintendo's trade database for indirect trading, but direct person-to-person trading required killing the firewall. It's strange how picky it was.
