I love me some rhythm games. Mindless fun one can pick up and put down when a bit of free time is available.

What I don't like, is DLC Whoring. This game alone has over 100 dollars of DLC available for it - IF you buy the two main clubs (Season passes/Expansion Passes/whatever the fuck you want to call it today.)

If you don't, it's closer to 150+.

I didn't bother with the clubs. I have purchased some of the modules despite myself. Certainly not 70 dollars worth mind you, and I'm just about done buying anything more for the game right now.

My current problem is that last week they released the swimsuit modules packs for the summer. We'll forget that in the first game they had swimsuits included in the main game. (We'll forget that they had a LOT of stuff included in the game rather than simply refitting existing modules from previous games to this new game's engine.) For all the DLC in the game, when you buy it for the PS3 or the Vita, you also get the other system's version. I have the Vita and PS3 versions since the PS3 is not very portable. :P

The problem is this. They fucked up the batch downloads for the swimsuits. You could buy each one individually for 1.99 each, or you could buy all 7 of the main characters (Kaitos has an alt version that for some reason they decided was worth 1.99 separately from his main swimsuit - the only difference is that he's wearing his goggles on his head instead of over his eyes. Well, I did say they were DLC Whoring the hell out of this game.) for $9.99. I went ahead and bought the batch.

Problem is: The Batch download only gave me the Vita version. After searching the insane list of DLC items, I noticed that the batch download only had a Vita version anyway - although it does say in the description that you still get the PS3 and Vita versions of the modules. It downloaded the Vita versions to my PS3 and that was it. I can't try to download the PS3 versions from the individual DLC items as it will try to charge 1.99. Hell, it also tries to charge me 1.99 if I try to download the Vita versions individually. But it will let me download the batch for free...

... but only from the PSN Store. If I go to my download list on the PS3, the modules show up in the list, but they're all marked as unable to be downloaded.

I gave them a week to see if it would be fixed when the store updated yesterday. It's still broken - but hey they've found time to add even MORE dlc to the game.

I emailed Sega support at help@sega.com to see what's up - or to at least to make sure someone somewhere knows something's fucked up. I fully expect to be blown off or told to go talk to people at Sony. Even if it's THEIR game and THEY should be VERY interested in if the things that THEY will profit off of is working as intended.

I was going to try to contact Sony first actually. But Sony doesn't seem to believe in customer support. You can talk to them on Twitter for a couple hours a night, or leave a message in their mostly ignored forums. You apparently can't even send them an email. I'm not signing up for Twitter, nor should I be forced to sign up for their forums just to get them to fix a damned issue with their store.

If Sega fails to Do Something Appropriate I'm just going to walk away from the entire thing. And I will make sure the people at Sega know I'm walking away from ever giving them another fucking penny.

Yes, this is a rather frivolous issue in the scale of things, but the fact that it's hammering on my fucking pet peeves with regards to DLC over a game I actually want to enjoy is just causing a massive backlash compared to usual. :P
