After the good'ol Minecraft Server went belly up with it's latest upgrade a couple weeks back (Essentially a lot of problems, including a complete wipe of the old maps the players were playing on at the time.) goldPseudo started up a private server for him, me, and Kane. Kane's yet to log on but he's on the whitelist. ^_-

And to be honest, it's a definite improvement. Lag is not nearly a problem compared to good'ol. And white list means no more griefer-lite's smashing into my mushroom farm and stealing 90% of the mushrooms.

I built a tower grinder on the server which works surprisingly well. We added piston controlled water works for flushing the items down to the collector plate. If you're on the collector plate, it'll turn the water on. Otherwise it'll turn it off - thereby removing the excessive flowing water which hopefully lowers the lag caused by the grinder compared to when it's in use.

We get lots of items from it.

I had added a window at first so we could snipe down any spiders that survive the fall. However I think this causes some issues with mobs surviving period. During the testing phase one of the first creepers to land actually somehow survived and walked up to the hole (couldn't get through tho.) Had some zombies do it too. I don't think anything survived other than the normal spider after sealing it back up tho. So I'm guessing the mobs seeing us caused them to survive somehow. <_<;; After that I discovered a new cave system to the north and we spent over a week lighting it up. It was -that- big. We're now in the process of doing a quick rail between the main base and the expansion mine. I'm not entirely sure what ideas goldpseudo has for the station redstone circuits, but the plan is to have it multiplayer safe.
