I only played through it once, and Steam says it took me 7 hours to complete. Given that my first times through games like Metroid 2 on GB and Super Metroid and other similar games took around 7-15 hours or so, but are totally doable in under 2 hours, that sounds about right.
Also, it's possible that your Steam version might have been one of my spare Humble things that I send you every now and then.
(EDIT) ...then again, I just checked my Humble account, and it seems that I still have an unredeemed, ungifted key for Risky's Revenge myself, so apparently I bought a bundle with it at some point, saw that you already had it on Steam yourself, and then just let the key sit gathering dust. So... I dunno. ^^; (/EDIT)
