Internet "Godwin"

owsf2000There should be a way to "godwin" any piece of legislation that includes "on the internet" in it's description such that the suggested legislation is instantly thrown out as garbage.
...And optionally the person who put forth the bill is whipped in the streets if they're a repeat offender. >_>
Essentially whenever I've seen these types of bills they're completely redundant and meaningless. In all cases I remember seeing over the years, they're either just restating things that are illegal anyway (thus why they're trying to make it look like new laws by adding "on the internet" at the end of the sentences - and applying completely new levels of punishments to the same crimes - usually far higher than what's already on the books) or what the bill is really trying to do has nothing at all to do with what it claims to be doing.
