To follow up my previous post, since the PS3 browser cut me off, my point was that just because one has a physical copy of a game, that is no guarantee that said game will be playable 10 years down the line, or that it will still be available (for a reasonable price, at least). And this is FF7, one of the most high profile games known to mankind. If that is hard to find these days, consider the more obscure titles, many of which are just flat out not available at all, pretty much anywhere. In that respect, at least, it is not too much different than the potential for DLC/downloadable games to disappear in the future.
