Game completed and added to the list. I plan on going through most if not all of the series this year, but I'm undecided if I want to continue on with Soul Reaver right away. Not going to play anything probably until the weekend anyhow so I have time to think it over.

Yeah, it's safe to take a break between Blood Omen and Soul Reaver without worrying too much about the story getting muddled or forgotten, since the story doesn't immediately pick up directly after BO1.

But once you start SR1, you'll probably want to plan for going right on into SR2 and then Defiance, since the beginning of SR2 picks up directly from where the end of SR1 leaves off, and the same for the ending of SR2 into Defiance.

BO2, of course, you can play any old time, for the most part (though I'd still leave it until after SR2 at least).

I never did get around to getting LoK: Defiance, all the bugs in BO2 and SR2 left too much of a bad taste in my mouth.

It would have been a great series if I didn't keep running into these horrible bugs that got me stuck in some stupid area and I had to go back to a previous save (or in the case of BO2, start over entirely).

Word to the wise in SR2: make sure you keep a save of before you enter the temple with the rising blood just in case...

Yeah I remember having some problems with SR2 (I think) when I owned it years ago. Save often. Gotcha.

I've decided to play Evil Zone next in the meantime. 3d fighter on the PS1. Not terribly complicated but entertaining all the same. Going to consider it "complete" when I have just about everything unlocked and all the story modes solved. Got 4 of 10 done already this afternoon so I'll probably have the game solved by the weekend. ^_^

I remember getting hit with that bug with the rising blood as well.

Another one I remember getting hit with was on the way to, I think, the Dark Forge, where there are a bunch of birds along the way that disappear when you approach them. Something screws up and you end up locked forever in the forge because the door won't open or some such. Basically, from what I recall, the workaround was stay the hell away from those birds as much as possible on the way to that temple.

As for BO2, I don't remember any bugs off hand but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest for there to be some.

For what it's worth, I don't remember any grievous bugs in Defiance.
