So remember my last entry when I bitched about something flying down my throat? There's a remote chance that it possibly bit on the way down. Of course, as I'll say again, it could just be a coincidence.
Starting Saturday a bit of a swelling starting below my left jaw. It's not on the surface - you wouldn't even notice it if you looked at me (due to the fat. :P)
Maybe it was something that bit, maybe something that just got tore or something, might be something more serious and it's just a coincidence. Either way, there's now something swollen on the left side of my neck, close to the front, just a bit under the jaw bone. First noticed it saturday evening. Didn't feel anything wrong otherwise, it was just -there-. Of course I was probably poking it since finding it which might have made it act up. Sunday was more or less the same. Monday it hurt a bit at work. Tuesday night it felt like the left side of my face was tingly as if just waking up for half the shift. (Today it wasn't feeling as bad, although it's still not feeling great as I write this.
Tried to call for a doctor's appointment today but it was busy the few times I called, then when I got through they had already closed for the day. 9_9
And according to the message, my doctor's on vacation/leave until the end of november. Great timing. I'll call them when I wake up tomorrow to verify the options. I don't particularly want to go to an after-hours clinic as they'll just give me a prescription for some expensive brand of wonder drug. Plus I'd have to miss work to go there. They don't even open up until my work shift starts. (And then the buses going to work will have been stopped for the night which means I'd be walking an hour or two if I wanted to just go to work late.)
No money for a cab.
Oh well. It doesn't feel as bad right now as it did last night, so I'm going to go in to work and see how it goes. If it acts up again the way it did last night, then I'll see about after-hours clinic to see what they say the next day. (After calling my own doctor's office to verify he's out and that there's nothing they can do for me until december.)
