Action RPG update
Dec. 3rd, 2006 07:46 amJust a quick note. After releasing version 0.009 I went to test it on real hardware. The screen rolled due to generating one less scanline than needed some of the time. It doesn't roll on an emulator regardless (emulators are too forgiving. :P) so unless you have a ram cart or something (Like me! :P) you'd never have noticed.
At any rate, if anyone does have such a ram cart and wants a stable version, I posted version 0.010 Beta on my atari age blog. Functionally it's identical to 0.009 except that it doesn't roll the screen when you run it on a real atari 2600. Version 0.010 is not complete yet however as optimization attempts continue. I did verify one thing however, the cause of the rolling wasn't me running out of time in Overscan due to inefficient programming. Thank god. ^^;;; There was just a problem with how I ended the visible screen prior to entering Overscan.
