Even ignoring the phantom of the closing of digital shops, which is indeed the bigger of the issues, I still just think it is absolutely, abysmally, abominably, abjectly asinine that purchases are tied to hardware. At least with Steam, I can go on any computer (as long as I am allowed to download and install the Steam client, which some administrators may disallow) and log in and download games from my Steam library. Consoles tying accounts solely to the machine on which they were purchased is just fucking egregious.
