Final Fantasy XIV (Mac) pulled.

Looks like it's becoming a thing to release ports that are shit and then pull them back. A week after the horrid Batman launch that inevitably ended with it being pulled from Steam til sometime in the fall, we get Square Enix doing the same with the Mac OS port of Final Fantasy XIV.

From what I gather from their Damage Control at the link above, they dun fucked it up. That is, they underestimated the system requirements. (Whether we take them for their word of that, or assume they underestimated in hopes for getting more sales while also hoping the game would still run well enough with those weak requirements like what some devs have done in the past...)

Apparently, it didn't run very well.

Score another point in the "Why You Should Not Pre-Order" camp.

But but but Final Fantasy XIV is a MMO they are supposed to be broken as shit on launch all MMOs are broken as shit on launch didn't you know that it's like a law or something you can't fault a MMO for being broken as shit on launch even if it's just a port you got to cut them some slack online is hard hargle bargle hurf durf
