Well, one of the new things with Windows 10, iirc, was that it was going to support Xbox Live (http://www.theverge.com/2015/3/9/8175279/xbox-live-windows-10-free-multiplayer-gaming) yes? And by that I mean "baked into it".
Ah yes, I'd forgotten all about that. Yet another reason in a long list of reasons for me to not ever want to upgrade to Windows 10, I guess.
