And all the people in the comments under the PC Gamer article saying "Oh, this makes sense, it's written in C++ and DirectX which will be much faster than the Java and OpenGL the original was built in" and so on and so forth blah blah... is Minecraft really that fucking slow? My five year old computer wasn't all that beefy even back when I first put it together, and it runs Minecraft at max settings perfectly fine, so... yeah, I don't see that as being all that big of a deal. All I see is "Oh, this makes sense, it's written in [proprietary Microsoft graphics API], which is better than [open source graphics API] it used to be built in." DirectX is not a fucking panacea, especially in a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" scenario like this one.

Yep, it's clear that the reputation management (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reputation_management) drones are out in force under this one, that's for sure.
