Yeah, Ur-Quan Masters was pretty cool, in my opinion. I played through it a few years ago (http://kane-magus.livejournal.com/96113.html). I'd not actually played Star Control 2 before playing it, but I'd always heard it was a good game, and when I heard there was an updated version available for free, how could I resist?
