My bank card was just eaten by an ATM machine. I guess there's a first time for everything, although this complicates my day some. I'm going to catch the bus at the end of the hour downtown, from there I'll wander a bit and end up at my bank to report the loss and get a new one working for me. When I got my first card it was just a matter of minutes to get it set up, so this should be the same. My love of Interact just gained a few points. Luckily I have like 3-4 dollars in dimes. I'll use that to pay for the bus downtown :P There'll be enough left over to buy a cola at the mall before moving on to the bank.

Assuming there are no mess ups with this, and there shouldn't be... I suppose I'll take the chance to get some extra boxes I'll need for moving.

ATMs do that for 2 reasons, either you used the wrong pin too many times (and it will eat the card for security reasons) or your card is old and the bar on the back is near death in which case it eats the card and automatically orders you a new card.

My mom has had both happen, and yeah its a major inconvience.
